So what's the bottom line? The investment for the CD-ROM master is a small fraction of what it takes to edit and produce a video tape demo. We personally know several speakers who have invested more that $5000 in a 15 minute video. The investment to duplicate a thousand CD-ROM's is about the same as a thousand video tapes.
How Do You Distinguish Yourself?
Frank King is the King of White Collar Comedy. In early 2000 he ask us to create a business card CD-ROM and we packed his demo video, "one sheet", and a link to his "bureau friendly" web site on the CD. Frank was so excited by the final product, that he had us master individual, customized, CD's for several of his favorite speaker's bureaus!
As he travels throughout the country, Dr. Dale Henry uses the three foot rule (everyone he meets is a prospect). Dale always carries copies of his CD with him wherever he goes. He can easily fit 5 or 6 in a coat pocket (try doing that with video tapes). Dale passes out dozens of the CD each week. One of his favorite strategies is to strike up a conversation with the person next to him on an airline flight, then show the CD using his laptop computer. He has lost count of the number of times he has booked himself while on a cross country flight. Dale books about 180 presentations a year.

We packed his entire eight minute video demo, four "pop-up" printable pages of biographical information and program descriptions, plus a link to his web site - all on a CD that fits in a shirt pocket!
